My female cat is 6 years old. She has a swollen lower lip, red and streched out right in the center and it looks painful, though it has not stopped her from eating. I took her to the vet for the same thing about 3 months ago, but it was gone by the time I got to the appointment. The vet said it was probably a rodent ulcer adn no big deal. It is back really bad now, worse than before, so I looked online and all the pictures of rodent ulcers are not what she has. It was perfectly described in this forum about a year ago as Localized Lymphoid Reaction. But the poster did not tell anything more about the condition. Is it serious? Should I take her into the vet or will it be OK to just let it go away? If it is not serious, what can I do to make it go away faster? Does anything know anything about this?
