If any one you agree that dogs should not live at the end of a chain their whole lives and think that there should be laws stopping people from chaining their dogs 24 hours a day 7 days a week, then please sign this petition at

It's just for Ontario? I guess Qc is so far behind that it would be pointless to start at the details...

you should start a online petition for your province. write to your local MP, write to your local news, etc. You can start a online petition from the site where I started mine.

We still have puppy mills and soooo much abuse here that is legal, that I don't think they would touch the chain issue yet... :(

Arent puppy mills all over Canada? Even if they are not, you have to start some where. Even if its a municipal bylaw, other will follow. Do you guys have a big problem with chained dogs there?

There are puppy mills all over, but I think in other provinces there are more laws protecting the dogs than there are here.

I don't know if chained doggies are as big a problem as dogs locked in homes all day, but I'm sure if you head out of the city, it will reverse.

Do you mean people leaving for work and the dogs are at home all day?
Hey what did you think of the law that passed in Italy this week for dogs. Dogs have to be walked 3 times a day.

Great. If we had that law, so many people wouldn't bother getting dogs they didn't have time for. :)

You should start a petition anyway. People have to start somewhere. Here are some links to send to people that dont think chaining a dog is a big deal.
