Passing protein in urine...

I know that I haven't posted here in a while, but this is the only site I know of where I even have a chance of a vet answering my question, so here goes:

My 7 month old newf puppy (Hazel) has tested positive for passing protein in her urine. The test was performed with an ERD tester which can detect minute amounts of protein in the urine. My vet suggested that I might look into a homeopathic supplement to strengthen her kidneys and urinary tract.

I have researched this type of test, and what the results indicate and have found that 46% of dogs that test positive are completely healthy. I found a homeopathic supplement that claims to strengthen the kidneys and urinary tract: http://www.onlynaturalpet.com/Only_Natural_Pet_Kidney_Urinary_Herbal_Remedy_p/999017.1.htm

My question is: Will giving Hazel this homeopathic supplement hurt her in any way if she is one of the 46% of dogs not suffering from any renal diseases?

I hope that one of the vets will consider answering my question. Thank you.
