ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) -- The author of a new state law that allows felony charges against owners of dangerous dogs was hospitalized over the weekend - after his own dog attacked him.

I see both sides of this.

The first I picture McGuinty's sweet little dog taking out a piece of his hide - pretty funny or as funny as a dog bite can be.

Secondly this person may of been trying to write a good law and then found out that despite all - dogs will be dogs. If his law wasn't breed specific then I feel bad for him. If it was breed specific then he got what he deserved.
