Pea sized lump on leg of cats

They pother day I discovered a pea sized lump on the back of my cat's front l;eg. He is 7 years old and went for his check up 2 weeks ago and everything was fine. He does go out and get into some fights on occassion. He is not acting different. Should I be concerned about this or wait and see what happens and not any changes in his beahvior? With all these animals and me being an anxious mom it is hard to go in everytime I get concerned. Your advice would be appreciated.

Check the lump carefully and see if you can see any bite marks on it. They'll look like red or black dots (puncture wounds)

If you see some, it could be an abcess starting and he will need antibiotics.

Male cats commonly get abcesses from fights.

If you are worried then see the vet. It could be a number of different things from a bug bite to a wart or possibly something worse. Is there any way you can take a close up picture of it.
