Dog wanting to mate... or serious problem?

Hi!

I have a 4 month old male lab mix puppy..

The past couple of days a strange thing has been happening... I'm not really sure how to describe it..

Every once and awhile he seems to lose the coordination in his back legs and has to sit down.... and I've noticed that every time this happens, his penis comes out of that fold of skin... I'm wondering if he is just wanting to mate (we are getting him neutered in 2 months... should we do this sooner?).. or if this is a sign of a serious problem...

Any insight would be great.

This dog has a seriour problem and needs to be seen by a vet asap. Your 4 month old puppy should not be losing function of his legs.

Thanks.. I'm bringing him into the vet in about an hour.. hopefully everything will be fine!!
