My kitty has chlamydia!

Hi all, when I got my cat on Sept 5, I noticed that she has one eye that seemed to make more "eye crusties" than the other, but figured I'd just watch it a bit and see if it got worse. I got home today from a week out of town, and when I picked her up at my parents' place I saw that the edges of her eyelids are all red and she was keeping the eye half closed, so I brought her to the vet. It turns out she has chlamydia!?!?!? I now have a cream to put on 3 times a day for ten days, and hopefully everything will be fine.

However my parents have been babysitting her since last Sunday, and from Sunday to tuesday they were also babysitting my brother's cat. Do I need to bring the other cat to the vet immediately or is watching him a bit closer enough?

Chlamydia is a fairly contagious bacteria. I think both cats need the same treatment at the same time to be sure not to pass it back and forth. Ask the vet to be sure.
