new kitten listless, not eating much

our 14 week old indoor kitten suddenly lost his appetite yesterday, and is lathargic sleeps practically all day. no runny eyes, nose, or stool, but eyes look "sick". Cairo was quite an active normal kitty when he came to us two weeks ago. he hasn't had any shots yet.

he went outside once last week. on occassion i have seen a very sick cat around our house who has some kind of disease that has left the top of his head without fur and looking like the top of a pizza (bubbly, raw and scary).

It seems that you already figured out that your cat should go to a vet, and you should do so as soon as possible, (NOW, not tomorrow or next week).

You state the following:

1) cat has no vaccines;
2) indoor cat that got outside last week;
3) very sick diseased stray cat hanging around; remember your cat has no protection as it has no vaccines;
4) not eating, lethargic
5) your cat looks sick....

So you need to take your cat to the vet immediately and get it taken care of....the longer you wait, the less likely your kitten will survive. Everyone else here will pretty much tell you the exact same thing and will not give you an online diagnosis. The answer is to take your cat to the vet right away.

How is Cairo today? Did she see a vet? I am hoping that all is well and that she recieved the medical care she required and is on the mend. Please let us know :o
