Cat with dislodged maxillary canine... Help..

I am trying to figure out what to do with a 5mo old male cat that has broken off a maxillary canine. The tooth is still in the gum and appears to be as if the tooth is coming out to allow a larger one to grow in; similar to a child loosing a tooth. Any advice on how to handle the situation at home.

If the tooth doesn't come out on it's own, as the adult tooth grows in, then a trip to the vet is in order. With any luck, though, the tooth will fall out naturally. But, perhaps as your cat is neutered, the vet can remove that tooth. I'm trusting that he'll be fixed soon, before he starts spraying.
