Odin in the mud.

Well, the meetup was at highpark yesterday, and there was a huge mudpile from the rain and from runoff from the fire hydrant where you can get fresh water for the doggys.

Odin usually HATES water and puddles. Yet...for some reason yesterday, he decided he would be the second bulldog to go for a "dip".

First he was standing in it, then he slowly lowered down on his belly in it. I tried to get the camera out fast enough for this, but alas, he shortly decided he would do a full roll in the mud. And on top of that, he rolled around in the dry dirt after he left the puddle! So much for having a white dog.

How do you get all the mud out of the wrinkles? Must be harder than on any other doggy?

Well, the firehydrant at the dog park has a hose, so we rinsed him as best we could first, and he didn't mind that. Then we took him home and gave him a bath. We fill the bathtub with a few inches of water and some mild puppy soap (no tears) and start scrubbing. Takes a while to get all the wrinkles on the face, since he doesn't like it so much, but we got him clean.

It's a funny mental picture- "scrubbing" a doggy... Doesn't sound fun... :D
