HI Everyone
Well i have tried everything........ all the over counter products, and nothing really works. It takes away the smell for a few weeks, but the min it rains or humity hits, the smell comes back. I know i just have to remove the carpet, however it will cost about 4000.00 which i dont have..... ( i already got a esitmate)
so i got a home remedy online, and i bought a black light, however when i turn off the lights and put the black light on, NOTHING happens, nothin glows, nothing really looks different. so what am i looking for??? I went out to buy this dumb black light and it hasnt done anything lol
what great luck i am having eh :)
I also put the recipt together and by accident stir and it got all forming and i lost everthing.
So if anyone has any last min tips, ideas or recipts i can try...... before having to rip up all the carpet in my basement lol please HELP :)

Thanks Kim :)

If there have been multiple pee incidents on the carpet over many years, I would suggest renting a carpet cleaner, and use either Nature's Miracle OR Vinegar to clean the carpet.

My mother has a bissel steam clean, and there is a separate compartment for the cleaner liquid. I have been told it's ok to use full strength natures miracle or full strength vinegar in the cleaner compartment. If you have a bulk barn near you (didn't see where you live) they sell "Super Vinegar" which is 25% acetic acid, unlike store vinegar which is only 10% acetic acid. It may smell strong for a few days, but it will eliminate all odors, kill bateria, and also clean your carpet REALLY well. I don't know how the rental steam cleaners work (the ones you see in grocery stores) but I assume they also have a separate compartment for the cleaner liquid. You will have to keep people off the carpet for at least 24 hours though, while it dries. If it's in a basement, I suggest you run a dehumidifier at the same time, or it may go moldy.
