There's finally a little light at the end of the tunnel... :fingerscr
I work at a humane society that is connected and works alongside Animal Protection Services. Since its opening last year, we have had an open investigation into our city's Petland store. They have had case after case of Parvo and our only option in terms of enforcing anything has been to make them get veterinary care. They have not informed the public about their parvo, and continue to allow animals inside the store knowing that they may become infected!
Besides all this, they refuse to disclose the breeder or kennel that the puppies are from. They also haven't made good on several health guarantees. This is the tip of the iceberg--I'm trying to keep this short and simple.

Anyways, today we were informed that our City is about to enact a law that prohibits any petstore or commercial pet related business from selling puppies or dogs (we are yet to see if cats can be added to this) to the public!!! :thumbs up
This will most likely not come into effect for at least another month, so our main priority is still the pups that they have up for sale .
But what awesome news after a battle with a faceless company that is only out to make a quick buck!

Many of these pet stores that sell puppies are bad news. Our state has put them out of business.

:thumbs up

That's awesome!! It's about time the big-money companies take a little responsibility! Even with the month+ wait, that's waaaaay better than in some places!! :thumbs up
