Sorry if this is too much of a distraction/trivial thread in light of all the hurricane threads here (this seems a bit out of place :o )... But I wanted to ask...
After all my trips to the Dr, last time I told him I would probably understand him better if he was a vet because I'm not used to doctors... :o
So I'm asking, who do you find easier to talk to Doctors or Vets? Who would you rather have to see tomorrow morning bright and early?

I love my vet!!! he's soooo great with Layla, not to mention how good looking he is... :D I've always tried to make Dr visits "in and out as fast as possible" I've actually sat in the dr office in the corner of the waiting room, hoping that they'll forget I was there..... funny how I want to be a doctor.....

Ya, but you'll be different right? :)

So doctors aren't too popular here (so far), are they?

Well Prin,we've had the same family doctor for 32yrs and I adore him, having 2 sick kids,he always was there for us,even on several occasions made house-calls.
I wish I could say the same for my current vet :( I loved my old vet and it will be difficult for anyone to measure up to her,but I'll find one,I'm sure...

I've absolutely adored some of my doctors, but it seems they always seem to be the specialists that I see once or twice, help me enormously, and then never see again. The dr's I have to see often I dread. no clue why. :o

Oh I agree Puppyluv- my favs are specialists, too.
Chico, it must be nice to have a Dr you can trust wholeheartedly. I don't even know what that is like. My Drs have always been so secretive and abrupt... My gyno is the best ever, and she is the only Dr I had seen in years till my new endocrinologist. There should be a personality test in med school too. :)

LOL No Kidding!!! Every day I go to class with hundreds of people who want to be doctors (myself included) and some of them.... my goodness... not to be mean but, I feel bad for their future patients.....

Good memorizing skills doesn't make good people....

Yes Prin, our doc is a gem and I dread the day he retires...mind you his medical skills with serious problems are iffy, but he never hesitates to say so and sends us to a specialist.
With my kids,I have seen sooo many specialists over the years,at Sick Kids,Toronto General and London University hosp and I have no complaints :thumbs up

My family has been using the same Vet practice for over 20 years. The care of all of my animals (from childhood until now) has been exceptional, so exceptional that I've never had an animal afraid of going to the vet.
As for myself, I have 2 phenominal doctors, that I wouldn't trade for the world.

I like both my doctor and my vet, but only go to see them when I have too, which reminds Tucker is due for his yearly check up and so am I. LOL ;)
