Convincing someone not to breed pug--advice plz

I would gather up some information of the risks of breeding pugs, traits controlled through selective breeding, risk to the puppies, an article on BYB's and the problems that they cause.
Maybe it would make them think twice. You could even have your husband pass them the information.

I would also find the closest doggy DNA lab in your area, and tell them that responsible breeders are having their dogs DNA tested for genes that are known to cause hereditary diseases. If they want to ensure the health of the pups that is the least they will do- test the parents.
