Teaching 8 week old puppy to walk on leash

Hi, Everyone
I just "aquired" an 8 week old Yellow Lab puppy (oh, I know, how cuuuute!)
The problem is that I can't find in any books to teach her to walk on a leash. I don't want her walking me instead of me walking her when she weighs 65 pounds. Is it too early to start that training process?

I think it's a bit early for leash walking, maybe just try getting her used to having the leash on for now, in and around your home.

We had Gomez walking outside on a leash at 8 weeks, and we started puppy class at 9 weeks, so maybe that's an option for you, he took to the leash right away, although we still have issues sometimes with pulling and scavenging -

Try attaching a house leash to the puppy and to yourself so he follows you everywhere in the house, that teaches him to stay with you and to get used to the leash...

i agrre with gomez it is never to early we had our patches leash trained early and she was also house broke by 3 months {we did have a few accidents after that but not many} just take your time and be patient i always say.
