What is the best Pet insurance?

Since my scare with Diva and the sores on her chin (which are in fact acne, thank you to those who posted your suggestions and comments), I am looking into getting insurance for her and for Simon (my little furbaby that has neurological, hind end issues and was severely abused).

My question is what is the best insurance company to go with? Both my babies are indoor kitties but I want to make sure they get the best policy out there. Any suggestions? Am I being silly wanting to get insurance for them?

Pet Insurance can be a great thing. I have pet insurance for my beagle. I wish I had gotten it sooner! I have used it already a couple of times and have had no hassles. We are with PetCare.

There are several pet insurance companies. Some of the most popular ones are:

PetCare

Pet Plan

Vet Insurance

The best thing to do is research all the plans available and compare them to eachother. There are many plans to choose from. Ask your vet which ones that they recommend. They usually have some information about them as well.

You are not being silly at all!

I can't help you with Canadian insurance companies, but I can tell you that pet insurance in the UK is a matter of fact, like house or car insurance - everyone has it -

Some companies will not cover you for existing problems and some charge you more if the pet is older, either way, make sure you get a "lifetime" type insurance that covers you for the life of the pet, not just until he's of a certain age...
