How do I remove dry oil based paint from cat's paws & hair? His paws are covered bottoms & tops, and his belly is also covered. It dried before I could get hardly any of it off. Please, if anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate it.

I've never had to remove any... My doggies just end up wearing the paint for a few months... But with a cat? There's all that licking to worry about!

A friend of mine had a cat that had gotten into (actually looks like it was put on intentionally) some green waxy oily stuff. Nothing would take it off. We tried shampoo, dish soap, hand soap. When she got home, she tried Sunlight laundry soap. That took most of it off. It might be worth a try. If that fails, you may wat to cut to fur off. It will grow back.

Also, if it is dry, try brushing with a really good brush.

Good luck
