from his paw size?

Simba at 12 weeks weighed 32 lbs when i took him for his 2nd injections and health check. Im just wondering if you can judge how big he will grow!

I'm sure I remember my vet telling me when my dog was 12 weeks old that she would weigh between 8 - 10 lb's when she was fully grown. He said whatever the weight was at 12 weeks, one just needs to double it for the full grown weight. He was right - she is 8/9lb's.

I could have got it wrong and it could have been 16 weeks (her last set of injections) when he said that .... I guess it also depends on the parents too. Daisy's mother was only 5lb's and a tiny toy and her dad was a 10lb toy. I'm sure there are others here who will know for sure. :)

If it is part mastiff of some kind, the grow till 2 or 2 1/2, at 10 months they really slow down in weight growth. harley was 38 lbs at 12 weeks, and at 10 1/2 months he is now 97 1/2 solid lbs. after 10 or 11 months, they gain max weight of 5-8lbs a year till 2 or 2 1/2 yrs. around 10 lbs a month for large breeds.

picture her weighing around 110 to 115lbs full grown maybe less. Just make sure you can feel ribs easily. with large breeds... HD comes so quick

Smaller dogs grow faster- a big dog's weight at 12 weeks would be lower proportionally than a little dog's weight. I think at 12 weeks, a big puppy's weight is closer to a 1/3 than 1/2 of the total weight. But you never really know..
