If anyone can remember, i recently adopted a senior stray, who has on average 1-2 accidents everyday (which we are working on). I also have an almost 4 year old whom i have had since she was 8 weeks old. As an adult, she has never had accidents. Now with dog #2 in the picture, she has started having accidents in the house. She was perfectly trained, not a single problem with her, but not anymore. Does anyone know how i can try to fix this?

There are smells now in your home. You need to get rid of them with an enzymatic cleaner. You may also need to go back to basic puppy training(potty) techniques depending on how long this has been happening.

I agree, its the smells.

Make sure that the cleaner you are using does not have any amonia in it as apparently it smells like urine.

THis is just a thought, but it might also be a stress or medical issue. Has the rescue dog checked out medically? Has your 4 year old ever had to share your attention?
