Subject: Deaf pit bull is movie star!

This is a message from Tracy, the owner of Piglet who is now a movie star pit bull! Piglet is deaf and was left in a dumpster to die - now she's the star of a feature film!

Please crosspost freely.

================================================== =====

Greetings, everyone!

I can't believe it and I'm still pinching myself, but we have actually finished
filming "Dog Jack" on Wednesday and I drove home yesterday.

This has been the most amazing experience. All I could think of when they said
"That's a production wrap for the dog," was "Oh, my GOD… we DID IT! We made a FEATURE FILM!!" I'm so proud of Miss Piggy that I could hug her until I squeezed every last breath out of her. It was, at times, a bumpy ride, and there were times when I wondered why I thought we could ever pull this off with only one dog, one handler and no experience, but Piglet rose to every occasion and often added her own little bits of improvisation, much to the delight of the director (and to me!).

T he biggest surprise was a huge front-page feature in the Pittsburgh Post
Gazette! For those of you who have not seen it, here is a link to the story:

We were also featured on WTAE, ABC channel 4 in Pittsburgh on Friday, Aug. 5,
which I didn't get to see because we were filming well into the night. There is one TV
feature which will be aired on KDKA either next Wednesday or Thursday, and the video will be available online at Dave Crawley's page:

The publishers have posted an online photo album, some photos of which they took
from my online photo album:

The official movie website is here:

You can sign up for a newsletter if you wish to be notified of the progress of
post- production and release dates.

We also have articles in the works with several pit bull publications - I'll
post information on that as it becomes available.

As for us, Piglet is getting some much-needed relaxation and recuperation as we
gear up for the publicity crunch. What pleases me the most about what I've seen so far in our media coverage is NOT ONE NEGATIVE WORD ABOUT PIT BULLS - in fact, some very inspiring words about the achievements of one little deaf dog that was pulled from a dumpster where she was left to die almost 4 years ago. As far as I'm concerned, she's a special angel - a gift from heaven.

Phew… time to relax a bit!

Kind Regards,
