Hello Everyone. I'd like to introduce my two furry friends and myself. I live in Ottawa Canada, and am primary care giver to one puppy and one cat.

The cat is called Pringles; she's going to be 8 in the fall. Pringles is the cat of all cats, she doesn’t claw furniture, mess anywhere but her litter box, she rings a bell when she wants to go out. I've had her since she was just wee, she was a foundling on the side of the road (my parents live out in the country so finding kittens and puppies on the side of the road wasn't un-common). The vets guessed she was just shy of 5 weeks when I found her.

The puppy's name is Charley, he's just about 7 months old and is a Pomeranian/Shih Tzu mixed mutt. I got Charley when he was 7 weeks old. We've been though puppy kindergarten and have now started basic obedience (we're half way through). He's house trained and can hold is all day or all night. He's pen trained instead of crate trained (though there is a crate in his pen) because it gets too hot in my house, in my opinion, for him to be confined all day while I'm at work. Speaking of work though, I should mention that I came home each and ever day up until last week to let him out for a 'business run'.

So that's us. You'll be hearing from us in other sections as Charley and I have some issues we need your help on. See you there.

I tried to add pictures with the original post but couldn't figure out how to code that in HTML which is what it appeared to want?! Any tips (I'm not technologically incompetent, just a little slow at times :p

Huge welcome! I also live in Ottawa, maybe we could arrange for doggie meetups in the future.

Here she is at her 'summer home' my parents' house in the country. This is where she spent the first 7 years of her life and where she's most comfortable in the summer heat (I don't have central air).

Isn't he the cutest? Though he looks less like a puppy, he still looks like a toy (as in kid's toy, not the group of dogs)

That would be great. Charley likes other dogs, the bigger the better actually (he got barked at really badly by a pair of mini poodles of all things, and it tunred him off small dogs, he's not mean he just prefers to stay away from them)

Very cute.

awwwwww, what a pair of cuties! Would it offend you if I say Charley is pretty like a girl? :p

Not at all, I tell him he's pretty every time I finish brushing him! Besides, he's been neutered so he isn't all that male anymore anyway! :)

LOL I found the thread, and it's Mr Winkle, and Charley looks nothing like him. Sorry. :oThread on Mr Winkle (

Here's the real site...:

Here he is with Sara Jessica Parker... :D (He could be Charley, only with shorter hair and less white. No? :D )

If I were to give him a buzz cut, he might look something like that, only with reversed colouring. But that little guy is almost a case of he's so ugly he's cute... No offence or anyting, but the clippers won't be coming out any time soon ;)

The calico is the queen of the place. She has the greatest facial expressions and won't hesitate to let you know what she thinks.

No offense to me- he's not mine... :D And yours is cuter anyway. :)
