Today we had lunch at a place we were thinking of having our wedding. It was so nice and there just happened to be a wedding being held today! It was so beautiful. The place is the Terra Cotta Inn in Terra Cotta Ontario. It's so nice, and they just renovated the whole place (painting and put a whole new stone patio in).

BF an I are going to have a small wedding, either next year or the year after (no date yet). about 30 people.

So, I have a couple questions.

Does anyone make wine here? Can you buy small 1/2 litre bottles? We were thinking of making some gift wine for the adult guests, along with 4 wine charms tied to the bottle with a ribbon. Or, has anyone made a liquer before? My sister made a chocolate liquer once, and it was nice.

Does anyone know where to get a pansy ring/flower ring in Canada (toronto area). They are circular flattish vases, with a trough in the middle you fill with water, and float flowers in them. Here is a pic.

I am thinking of importing a bunch of tropical flower blooms of my favorite flower (Plumeria) from Hawaii. Hawaii is basically where we decided we wanted to get married, and since then I/we have fallen in love with this flower. I can get 1000 loose blooms for $100 US. We are going to use some in our hair, some in bouquets and bouteneers, and some as the centre peices, in the pansy rings, with a candle in the centre. I know I can get them from a friend in Florida, but they may bet broken if they get shipped here.

So we're all invited? :D Now we know the place, all we need is the day.. :)

I don't know where you get those rings, but the Body Shop has rings that you put those smelly oils in and maybe they could work...

Have you tried Michael's? There is one at the Dixie Value Mall. It is a great arts and crafts store. They have a whole bunch of stuff and they may have the vase that you are looking for. When I was planning my wedding, I went there and they had a whole bunch of really nice stuff.

The Terra Cotta Inn is beautiful! That is a very nice place to have a wedding. We drive by there quite often during our Sunday drives. My husband and I always joke that we have to come up with a party excuse so that we can hold it there! Maybe for our 10 year anniversary!

Better check with the Terra Cotta Inn about your wine or liquor idea. As it's not VQA labelled, I don't think it's allowed on the premises. They can lose their liquor license.

The pansie rings are really neat and will look lovely with the Plumeria in them!
