My Natas (pit bull) has a bump on his nose. He's had it for a couple of weeks now. It almost looks like a wart. Every now and it then it looks like he's scratched it or something. It doesn't seem to bother him but I thought if it was a bite or something it would have gone away by now. Any ideas on what this could be??

Does your dog spend a lot of time outside? Does this bump ever bleed?
I think you better get him to the vet and have it looked at.

2 very different things come to my mind.. first (and most scarey) because it's on his nose it might be melanoma ..skin cancer. Which of course requires vet care asap!
and second, if he's a young dog (around a year or less) it could be what I call puberty pimples. My dobie has them as well, mostly under his chin, but the occasional one on his nose. They look like little blisters and break very easily and bleed. They do heal up and go away, only to be followed by a couple more. His have gotten much better over the past 2 months...they were pretty bad before that.
Either way, a trip to the vet woulnd't hurt anyone but your wallet ;)
