Our cat has little bumps on her around her neck and head area. One vet told us that she has a staph infection, and that it is very contagious. We have a daughter 2 years old that has a kidney disorder. I really need more information on this condition in order to protect my daughter, and our cat, Hope. Please help me! :(

Did the doctor say what type of staph infection and how is it being treated?

Until you know more, separate the child from the cat and wash your hands in between patting the cat and holding / caring for the toddler. You dont want to take any chances!

MRSA is a drug resistant staph, did your doc say anything about that? Not sure if cats can get that though.

I'm an advocate of oil of oregano to treat these types of conditions.

Did the vet do blood work/nose/ear/mouth swabs?
