My little Pom Wolf is 3 years old and neutered. Today at lunch he was walking around the living room then he went up to the couch and lifted his leg and held it up for a long time! The wierd thing is nothing came out, he didn't pee or mark, just lifted his leg. This is not the first time he has done this either. Its not often but Ive seen him do it a few times now.
Anyone have any ideas as to what he is up to?

It may be nothing, or it may be a blockage. I would get it checked out right away.

He goes to the bathroom outside with no problems at all. We took them out at lunch and he emptied his bladder immediatly! Should I still take him in?

In that case, I have no idea! IF there is nothing physically wrong with him, you might want to stop him lifting his leg in the house. Clap your hands to get his attention, then praise him when he lowers his leg.
Never heard of this before. Maybe someone else has?

Maybe he's practicing to see how high he can get his leg for when he's outside?? :p Sorry, couldn't resist!

hehe or maybe he is warning me "if you dont share your food with me Ill do it! I swear I will!" I was eating lunch at the time!

Maybe he is! He never lifts his leg outside. I wrote a thread before about how he stands straight up when he pees and pees all over his front legs. I hope he is practicing!

Is he empty when he does it? If he has gone out recently, and lifts his leg and nothing comes out, then ok, but I can't see a "full" doggy lifting and controlling himself...
Is it always the same spot? Does the sofa smell in that spot?

I sniffed around and no smell. Its not always in the same spot either and its getting more frequent. Last night he lifted his leg on Shadow!
He's not allowed to hump anyone or anything. Could this be what he is doing instead? We had humping issues but have overcome them!
