Pet flying!

I'm in need of a good pet transportation service particularly for Canada to US or US to Canada. I don't really like having a pet travel alone on a plane. But it's impossible for someone to accompany it in the situation right now. Are there any pet travel services I can trust?

I would check with some of your local boarding kennels. I know there is an association of Kennels that deals with pet travel and some kennels are members of this organization. I am sorry, I can't for the life of me remember the associations name. :o

We flew Joey to Vancouver from Alaska on Air Canada. Everything turned out fine but the whole process was a bit stressful.
Joey had to be at the airport 2 hours before in Anchorage. His former owner did not know this and brought him an hour and half. They then had to rebook his flight with a new confirmation number. We went to pick him up from the Cargo area in Vancover. But could not get him until we went to the main airport to get him cleared through customs. They also charge duty on a dog if he cost anything so its a good idea to make an arrangement with the owner to avoid that charge. (we did that).
When we went back to get him the worker there couldn't find him for about 2 minutes so I was freaking. The guy asked about the confirmation number I showed him, as he was rebooked on the first flight the vet and customs papers and said "do you really think some other family is going to show up here waiting for an English Cocker Spaniel from Alaska"
In the end everything was fine and really there were no major issues. Joey was in the crate longer then I had expected but we went for a nice walk as soon as we got him to my parents in Vancouver.
Also they wont fly if the temp is above 85F on any point in the trip. I was paranoid about this and checked the temp everyday for the whole week before and up to about 5 minutes before we went to the airport.
