Byrd August 8th, 2005, 07:45 PM Hi, I'm Byrd and I'm new. ;)
I live in a smaller city just east of Toronto :ca: with my thiscloseto 9-month-old Red Tri Australian Shepherd, Willow, and my two cockatiels, Aquila & Corvus. (I had a Siberian Husky who passed away on June 9, 2004 at the age of 15).
I'm very recently separated from my boyfriend of four years (common-law husband of one year) and am living on my very own for the first time, well, not by myself as I have Willow to protect me and keep me busy. I'm a 31-year-old female, who pretty much matches my dog.
I have many hobbies, like surfing the net, watching the tube, reading, writing, art, taking Willow for her nightly hour long jaunts to the park, and I hope to soon get into Flyball with her as I think she really does have all the credentials for it.
Hmmm that's about it in a nutshell. Any questions fire away! :thumbs up

Byrd August 9th, 2005, 09:32 AM It seems like it's going to be my destiny to get dogs with funky eyes.
We're doing fine on our own. I actually don't mind it at all. :)
doggy lover August 9th, 2005, 09:40 AM Welcome, sometimes I wish I was alone, with two teenagers, a hubby and Tucker the 15 month Border collie, I crave alone time. But then when I get it, I get lonely, we are never satisfyed. I too lost a wonderful dog last year, and still really miss him.
AliSam August 9th, 2005, 11:42 AM Welcome Durham-ite. I lost a cat last year unexpectedly so I feel your pain. My family had a Sibe when I was a teenager. They have the best eyes.
Byrd August 9th, 2005, 08:16 PM Here she is at nine-days-old, first time I saw her:
Byrd August 9th, 2005, 08:20 PM The litter at one day old... Willow is the one with the arrow.
doggy lover August 10th, 2005, 05:38 PM Willow reminds me of Tucker when he was a puppy, i picked him out at a week old too, here is a pic when he was one month old. I love little pups.
Byrd August 10th, 2005, 06:06 PM Here she is at 23 days old. They really do look a lot alike, don't they?
doggy lover August 10th, 2005, 07:07 PM Yeah they do mine just has a tail. LOL
Byrd August 10th, 2005, 07:43 PM Yeah, I'm so tired of hearing "what happened to her tail?". It's so annoying.... She's an Aussie!!! She doesn't have one! :p Actually her's is quite long.... a full three inches long.
doggy lover August 11th, 2005, 03:13 PM She is a beauty with or with out one anyways.
Prin August 11th, 2005, 06:21 PM Wow, yes I do like those pics!! So tiny! :)
shannonRN August 21st, 2005, 01:46 AM Yeah, I'm so tired of hearing "what happened to her tail?". It's so annoying.... She's an Aussie!!! She doesn't have one! :p Actually her's is quite long.... a full three inches long.
I call that kind of appendage a chicken nugget, not a tail...I guess there's a long story behind that one, though! :p
That doggie has good vertical and I'm sure she will excel in sporting events.
Byrd August 21st, 2005, 08:28 AM LOL, yeah, I call it her 'nubby'.
Not only does she have good vertical, but she's very fast and agile (turns on a dime, leaving the other doggies wondering where she went!)
Byrd August 21st, 2005, 09:20 PM Here's a good shot of the nubby.
Byrd August 21st, 2005, 09:22 PM Willow and my mom's dog, Pepsi (That's her other dog, Rocky, sitting inside the house):
Prin August 21st, 2005, 10:11 PM That is one pretty aussie! (no offense Mel) She's got a cute nub. :)
