Could my dog have genital herpes?

My dog is about 8 months old (not sure). He is supposedly a husky/akita mix (not sure on that either, was adopted from rescue facility). He was neutered about two months ago. He is just now losing his teeth and refuses to eat anything and doesnt drink much. He has formed some wart-like lesions around his genital area and they are getting bigger and spreading. He constantly licks at them. At first we thought they were mosquito bites, but they are getting bigger, turning brown, and spreading. What could this be?

You need to get your dog to a vet today.

Agree w/ others, take to vet asap. Has he been to a vet since you got him. I would guess he is 2-3 months younger than you thought.

Ok - Maybe the dog just dont like the food anymore so that is why he isnt eating, because, I gave him bologna and he ate it so fast like he was starving (probably was). Now the only worry I have is the wart thingies. I have to take him to the VET next week. Any other suggestions in the meantime. If it is papilloma- wont it go away?

If it were say Genital Herpes or the like, No
it wont go away, this disease is controllable but not
cureable.
Did he mate with a female dog in the area?
This is the only way he could have contracted something like this.
If so, I suspect it would be wise to check the female for the same thing.
Could also be a fungal infection, those are very common on people and pets during the hot summer months.
