It seems like the puppy Gomez has a bit of a scratch or split on one of his pads, it almost looks like a paper cut would on us - it's very shallow and has not bled at all - It doesn't seem to bother him when he walks or when I touch it, it just feels a bit rough to me...

Keep an eye, but just let it heal.

You can try to gently clean it by flushing it with warm water. Otherwise, just keep an eye on it. If it gets worse or changes color, head to the vet.

Thanks for the answers guys.
Prin, his paw pads are black, so I couldn't tell if it changed colour, as for cleaning it, there's nothing really to clean, there is no open wound or anything, but he usually does get his paws rinsed when he gets back from walks - London is very dirty!
I looked at it again this morning, it looks dry - do pads get dry? they are much rougher at 7 months than they were at 10 weeks, of course...!
Do you guys ever put anything to soften or moisturise the pads?
