Foster Home In Toronto Area Desperately Needed

July 26th, 2005, 09:38 AM
Hello. I have a 7 yr old siberian husky and a 5 yr old lab/shep mix.
I must go into hospice aug.2-15 and am in desperate need of a foster home for them during my absence.
Being on disability i cannot afford what boarders/kennels are asking but i can contribute their food aNd approx.$400 for this.
Please respond if you have suggestions.

I would ask your vet if he/she would board them for the $400. If you are a long term client and due to your circumstances I would expect your vet to help you out.

Try this:

They are in Scarborough and do boarding for customers but if they can't help you they will maybe be able to suggest someone they trust who can.

Would you be willing to have them stay in st. catharines?
I know someone willing with lots of foster expereince willing to provide references both vet and people she has worked with.

She would be willing to meet half way or come pick the dogs up.

greatanimalres, this is 5 dogs you've offered to take in on this board, including a GSD in Montreal.

It's wonderful that you want to help, but can you tell us something about your organization? You say you own a no-kill shelter. Do you have a Pefinder site, or other site we can look at? Or some pics?

You say you have no animals, but there are tons of them homeless in Hamilton who would love some help!:)

Please get in touch with the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA. They are always in need of foster homes (for all their animals, especially cats at the moment).
