Cat "yelling" in the afternoon

July 13th, 2005, 07:16 AM
My cat has started "yelling" lately. I started working about 9 weeks ago and my grandma told me she sometimes "yell" in the afternoon. However, when I am back home, I never heard her do that. She's eating well and popping well these days and doesn't seem to be sick at all. Can anyone please help me? thanks

Which one of your cats? Do you know the breed?

vcheng, if only all pet owners were as caring and conscientious as you are, the animals would be lucky indeed!:)

Cats often cry or call this way. She might be calling you, or calling for your other cat. I have a feral momma cat who will "yell" and bellow at the top of her lungs if she doesn't always see my two other cats.

As long as your cats are bright-eyed, of good weight, have good appetite and litterbox habits, I wouldn't worry about this crying.
