My friends dog is undergoing surgery at this moment because she has so much fluid everywhere inside and to stop her getting a nasty infection the vets are giving her a hysterectomy. They have given her an ultra sound and found only the fluid, blood tests are all normal, xrays showed nothing. Apart from the fluid, the vet has no idea what is the problem. She was being sick and became very lethargic thats why she went to the vets. She is being given water introveniously, she is not eating, also she is on morphine. She is 12 years old.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem could be?
