Need advice on chow...illness symptoms

My chow (3 years) has had diarrhea for several days and is now favoring her left front paw. I can find no visible signs of injury. About a year and a half ago she had tick fever and we spent months (and almost $2000) getting her well again. She has been fine since. I tried to look up these symptoms but am not finding easy access. Does anyone have experience with this or these symptoms?

Not with a Chow. But our first mini Dachshund started favouring his left paw - turned out he had Dachshund neck disc disease to accompany his back disease. I would take him to the vet - does not have to be his neck - could be a problem with other joints.

Could be two separate issues.

Lyme disease which is what ticks carry can be very drug resistant and cause long term effects.

Have you taken the dog to the vet about the diarrhea?

If you do, take a stool sample with you and ask the vet to culture it.
