As a dual citizenship person, shouldn't I have today off work, too? With pay?

Happy 4th of July!

Yes! Happy Fourth of July to all our American friends! :usa:

It's a good day to reflect on how lucky it is to live in such a great country.

Billions of people worlwide would switch countries in a millisecond if they could.

Hello my happy Canadian friends and thank you on behalf of uh.. a whole bunch of Americans (not all of 'em.. I couldn't possibly speak for all of 'em...) for the warm 4th wishes!

We have the watermelon and the hot dogs (EW!) and the funny little hats and the bottle rockets going on... But every time we venture outside today the heat tends to send us fleeing back to the comfort of climate control. :D Judge is the only one with the good sense not to even bother stepping out to begin with. We're hoping by late tonight it'll cool off enough to be able to go watch some fireworks... Until then - we'll have to settle for Shamrock's. :thumbs up

Thanks all! My deep-dish nectarine crumb pie is in the oven. Don't know if it's still a pie if it's in a lasagna pan, but it has a bottom crust so it's not a crisp. Anyhow, as soon as it's brown and bubbling, we're (Mom & I) are headed to a block party in a friend's cul-de-sac (sp?) for a big potluck, DJ & dancing, good time. Hubby's back is out so he's staying home with the dogs. I've agreed to letting him have a serving of the pie before we take off. I think everyone will understand! :king:
