My Loving Baby is Gone

My 15yr old Kitcat passed away today. He had a stroke 2 weeks ago and despite growing increasingly weak since, he still wanted to be be in Mom's lap until the end. Everyone that met my boy were amazed at how affectionate and social he was for "a cat". If only they knew the rough begining he had had! I used to volunteer at a shelter and he was deemed "non adoptable" as he was a mean machine and would lash out with claws flexed at anyone that approached. I remember bringing him home, determined that somehow there had to be a way. Indeed there was - in time, and with much love, cuddles & kisses he started to come around. Looking back it truly was a miracle and speaks to the power of love. He truly became the biggest suck on the block and each night he would snuggle in my arms as we fell off to sleep. No sleeping at the foot of the bed for Kitcat - he had to be in my arms, under the covers.
Heaven is a more beautiful place tonight as they have a wonderful loving "bigboy" there. My arms will be empty tonight, and how they ache to hold him and hear him talk to me...but I know I was blessed to have had all his love for almost 12 years.
Rest peacefully Mommy's bigboy and know your love will forever be in my heart. Your little doggie brother Bailey keeps wandering around looking for you - he will miss sharing your treats and playing chase around the livingroom. We love you dearly and miss you terribly.
Love Mommy and Brother Bailey

Oh I am so very sorry for yours and Bailey's loss.

It's good you have one another to comfort, while you miss and cherish the moments of your beautiful Kitcat.

It's an adorable picture and I'm sure one day you will be visited by your fuzzy sweet friend.

It's never easy, I've been through it myself...more then once.
They know they were loved, they always do.

What a handsome fellow !!! Please accept my deepest sympathies for your loss. It hurts to miss your Kitcat and even more to see Bailey grieve and not be able to explain what happened to Kitcat. There will be a candle lit in our home tonight to help light Kitcat's way to The Bridge

:grouphug: :pawprint: :pawprint: :grouphug: to you and Bailey from our house

Oh, I'm soooooo very sorry for your and Baileys loss. You gave him a chance when no one else would and as our furbabies do, he repaid you with many years of love, thank you for that. In return, you made his life full of hugs, kisses, and let him know he was greatly LOVED on this earth. You will meet again, and until then, maybe his physical body is no longer with you, but his spirit and love is still with you and Bailey! Bless you! :grouphug

So very sorry for your loss
It was a wonderful thing you did taking Kitcat in and showering him with so much love that he learned to trust and love you in return. I'm sure he's on the other side of the bridge telling all his friends what a wonderful life he had here with you and Bailey.
Thoughts and prayers being sent to you and Bailey in this time of great loss :grouphug: :pawprint:  :grouphug:

What a lucky boy he was! I know you will miss him deeply, but you should be happy to given this guy a long life, filled with love and caring and that you gave him a chance when no one else would.

I"m so sorry for your loss. It's so hard to let them go.:(
