shannon1233A June 23rd, 2005, 08:56 AM I just got a groming table for Kenzie and was wondering if you all place the arm at the end or the side. All the pics I've seen have it mounted on the end, but I noticed that our trainer had hers mounted on the side of the table in a picture I took at the last show. I guess on the end, the arm in sticking in Kenzie's face, but on the side it's not in the way. Any input is appreciated as well as why is best! Thanks everyone,
BTW, Kenzie Graduated from Conformation Classes last night  Waiting to post pics, as I still can't figure out how to resize them or figure out that Infraview :banghead I'm sooooo puter illiterate
Lucky Rescue June 23rd, 2005, 09:10 AM I know nothing about grooming tables, but just want to say CONGRATS on Kenzie's graduation!! :thumbs up
Isn't it silly how proud that makes us?:p
Beaglemom June 23rd, 2005, 09:24 AM Congrats on Kenzie's confirmation graduation!
As far as I know, the arm should be placed in a way as to keep her secured but not in your way or Kenzie's. Most of the ones that I have seen are on the side of the table, not the end.
As for resizing your picture, go to image on the menu and then click on resize. You should be able to resize the pictures from there. Can't wait to see them!
goldenblaze June 23rd, 2005, 10:00 AM I only know how my groomer does it at her shop she puts the arm at the end of the table, works well for her but maybe it's best to put it where you are most comfortable. :)
Safyre June 23rd, 2005, 11:58 AM My aunt is a groomer and puts hers at the side, just allows her etter access to the face and front paws on breeds that need facial grooming (ha, stupid bows for the shi tzu's)
So just think about your breed of dog (sorry, not familiar with what you have) and if you need to be grooming her face a lot , or if she can stand sideways to you to get the best look.
Best advice i have on that! :o

Jordie is a Shih Tzu been groomed always and never came home with bows, groomers do as the parents ask tell them what you want on your dog. Some are very cute when leaving but Jordie is the :king: and wants no ribbons :D
I do agree you will know what way to sit your grooming table when you start, whatever feels most comfortable. Each dog might need you to move it and with time you will be a pro.. enjoy ;)
shannon1233A June 23rd, 2005, 01:20 PM Thanks to all who responded, Beaglemom, I tried that, and all I can change is the pixels or inches? It doesn't change the Size on disk  which is apprently why I can't upload my pics...grrrrrr.
This site says you can upload 100kg, but my pics are all at least 150+ , maybe I should start a thread, as I've read all the FAQ, and spent the last 2 weeks with irfanView, to no avail!
Okay, so frustrated now I'm in tears!
Beaglemom June 23rd, 2005, 01:29 PM I think you need to change the pixels. Try decreasing your pixel numbers and save as a new file so as to not overide your main file. Hopefully this will work. I believe that by decreasing the pixels you are in fact decreasing file size as well. That was how I did it.
shannon1233A June 23rd, 2005, 02:27 PM Testing Beaglemom's suggestion, cross your fingers, although it's not a good pic, I didn't want to fool around with the good ones, lol!
shannon1233A June 23rd, 2005, 02:29 PM It worked, it worked, it worked, thank you soooooo very much, now you'all will get sick of pics of Kenzie! :grouphug: {{{HUGS}}}and big sloppy doggy kisses :kiss

LOL, sorry, no offense was meant. its my own personal feeling, I dislike small dogs that get bows in their hair. i dislike bows. and yes, I know it is the owners decision, I just dislike it, its a 'pet' peeve of mine.
Beaglemom June 23rd, 2005, 03:16 PM I'm glad it worked. We never tire of pictures, so please post away! All the doggies look so well behaved!
shannon1233A June 23rd, 2005, 04:19 PM Spoke too soon  I haven't been able to upload another since  I followed the same steps, so it's a fluke the first one went through. It just stays on Uploading File, Please Wait forever then nothing. The whole site is loading slow for me as well, and as I mentioned on another thread, sometimes, I have to try to post several times before it goes through. Bring out the tissues again :sad
