Cat tattoo - anyone know??

A stray cat of ours has a tattoo in his ear,and we have no idea how to track it. Cat is not purebred.

Any ideas?

I would contact either your vet or local animal shelter... they'll probably be familiar with which agency uses which tattoos and where. :)

Lucky, my understanding on ear tattoos is that they're only good if cat is still in the same city. But, if kitty is from that area, and probably is - it "should" be able to be traced.

The letter/ number sequence on the tattoo denotes the particular vet clinic where it was done.
How to track this?
The only thing I can suggest is to try calling a few random vets in the area and see if they can help you track down the right clinic.
