Luba June 6th, 2005, 10:40 PM I know it's not just me.
I just went to check my thread (hello everybawdy thingy) and I can't find it..sometimes it's there sometimes it's not.
Other threads seem to do the same thing.
So, if others are experiencing the same problem, don't worry it's not your computer. (That includes you too CF) Now I know you weren't crazy when you said you couldn't find something.

I knew it!
LavenderRott June 7th, 2005, 12:19 AM *Struggles out of straight jacket*
I knew it!
Put that straight jacket back on!
Cactus Flower June 7th, 2005, 12:24 AM  The voices.......the voices......
sammiec June 7th, 2005, 08:26 AM Nope, keep the jacket on CF, you're both going NUTS!!!
Here's the THREAD (http://www.pets.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=15858)
LMFAO!!
marko June 7th, 2005, 08:45 AM Sorry for the confusion - that thread was moved to the on topic forum but there is still a redirect in the general forum.
Occasionally the mods and I move threads - but redirects should ALWAYS be in the original forum they were posted in.
It's RARE but once in a while threads are deleted and 99.8% of the time there will be an explanation as to why they were deleted.
BMDLuver June 7th, 2005, 08:53 AM I much preferred the conspiracy theory to drive Luba nuts and CF to follow. :p
Writing4Fun June 7th, 2005, 09:37 AM Ok, now if only someone could tell me why people's avatars don't show up half the time, maybe then they can put away the straight jacket for good...
Princesss04 June 7th, 2005, 09:47 AM Luba you and CF crack me up! :)
Luba June 7th, 2005, 10:15 AM Personally I think Marko was making an attempt at sending some of us to the 'funny farm'
Thanks for the link Sammiec :D
Schwinn June 7th, 2005, 10:28 AM Okay, anyone else find it ironic that this thread got moved?
LavenderRott June 7th, 2005, 11:35 AM I think the whole bunch of you need straight jackets!
This thread is in the exact same spot it was when I first saw it. And I never have problems seeing avatars. Maybe you guys are losing your minds.
happycats June 7th, 2005, 12:37 PM Ok my dot (the one beside happycats) changes colour, it started out green which I know know means I'm on line, but for awhile there it was red!! I thought it may be some sort of target or something!!! Now it's green again :) .
So what does red mean (ready..... aim.............  )
Cactus Flower June 7th, 2005, 12:49 PM HAhhahaaaaaaaa.....this thread is killin me! Ohhh, my laugh muscles are sore!
Happycats, the green dot means that you are online. I believe the red dot will be visible to you (but not us) when you are in "invisible" mode.
There HAS been a problem with threads not showing up in "new posts", or at all- which Marko has been kind enough to look into. Someone has to actually send me the link to the thread for me to be able to view it, quite often. A few other members are having the same problem.
Marko, just so you know, when I comment on a thread "this didn't show up for me, either", I'm not doing it just to continue the gripe. I thought it might help you to know which threads were not visible to me, so I post it. Maybe that will help isolate the problem (once you translate it to technospeak for your site managers/computer gurus).
Anyway, I'm allergic to straight jackets, and the doctors say I'm ok now.
Luba June 7th, 2005, 12:55 PM Allergic to Straight Jackets...well maybe Hannibal can rent you his contraption! LOL

Oh thank god !! I was getting a little worried there. Now how on earth did I get in "invisible" mode  .
I think this place has been a little wonky lately, one minute when I hit "new threads" there are 2 pages worth, and the next minute there are only 3! I thought it was just me !
Schwinn June 7th, 2005, 02:57 PM Man, I'm always online! My light never seems to go out when I look at it.
(Size 46 regular. Something with cuffs, please)
Luba June 7th, 2005, 03:47 PM Hey Schwinn...
I notice you're in Georgina...what's going on with that SPCA investigation into that couple from Uxbridge area that has a farm out your way. There were multiple animals dying, decomposing and corpses littering the facility. Apparently they don't live there they just 'drop in'.
The last I heard...recently that is...is that although they have done this horrible unspeakable crime they STILL have numerous animals there. Sheep, cows, horses etc... I'm in shock after all they've done they still have the ability to keep animals there. Shame shame shame on our judicial system.
Schwinn June 8th, 2005, 11:27 AM There hasn't been much more said about it that what was on the news. The people who own the farm live in Mississauga and aren't always around. Some of the animals have starved to death, and are left to right where they fall. Some of the pictures on the news showed garbage lying in the fields. It sounds like someone who doesn't really care about animals much trying to make money on the side with as little effort as possible. I know it is just north of me, but not sure exactly where. The strange thing is there does seem to be some animals in good shape. I think that is why the SPCA allowed the remaining animals to be on the farm while the investigation continues. The whole thing is pretty bizarre. The neighbours haven't said much, other than they don't see the owners around a lot.
twinmommy June 8th, 2005, 11:35 AM I think the whole bunch of you need straight jackets!
he heh heh
Your just jealous cuz the voices only talk to me!! ;)
(got that in an email, been using it alot!)
Since we're on the subject...could someone tell me why when I log on after not having been on in a few days and click on new posts, there are usually anywhere from 70-100 new posts to check out. As I contnue to browse through looking at ,let's say, 20 of the new ones, by the time I reclick "new posts" 20 times it only seems to retain a small number--say 1-10 of new posts. Thus, losing like about 50 new posts.
Does anyone understand what I mean?(rough explanation, I know, sorry :sorry: )

OMG I think it's a trap, RUN FOR YOUR LIVES EVERYONE http://bestsmileys.com/scared/7.gif....they are trying to steal our brains....http://bestsmileys.com/silly/4.gif
uh.....could someone please pass the straight jacket... :o
Luba June 8th, 2005, 11:55 AM Tx for the reply Schwinn
Considering the cirucumstance I'm surprised neighbours and other farmers haven't taken the situation in part into their own hands.
The mentality of leaving other animals behind is the same mentality of leaving kids behind in an abusive home environment. Take one...then take them all!
Schwinn June 8th, 2005, 01:05 PM they are trying to steal our brains
Hah! Just try and find mine! I've been searching for years!
Oh, and I get dissappearing new items too.
As for the animals, I think the reason the left them was because there was no sign of abuse what so ever, and they didn't appear in immediate danger. Although this insults anyone with common sense, the law isn't based on common sense. I'm a little distressed myself that they left them too, but I think they didn't have a choice.
