Water in Lungs 2 Month Yorkie

I went to my vet and he said that my 2 month old yorkie has water in his lungs. He gave me medicine. After two days of treatment he seems to be getting worse (more coughing - all night). Is this normal & when should I expect him to start getting better? Is there anything I can do to make him more comfortable?

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully all will be fine. When in doubt, call your vet to ask if this is a normal part of the process / medication. The sooner the better if you think there may be a problem.

I agree that you should call your vet - right away! It could be that the meds are some sort of expectorant that are supposed to make him cough more so that he gets the fluid out of his lungs, but if they are not supposed to do that, there might be something else going on! Good Luck and I hope your furbaby feels better soon!
