He'll manage with practice. I hope he finds a good home (hopefully not someone who just wants him for shock value). :)

When I worked at the humane society shelter years ago the counties animal control turned a dog over to us that they could not find the courage to euthanize. He was a 7 year old brindle boxer named Bozo. He had three legs & one eye, ears trimmed and neutered. Thats one leg gone, also one eye, two ears, two testicles and his tail. His huge heart made up for all that he lost in life. His eldery owner died and the family did not want to be bothered with him. There was no problem finding him a home, the shelter director adopted him and he came to work with her everyday so we could all enjoy him. He was perfect and could do no wrong.

Many dogs, cats and other small animals do well with three legs. They adjust probably better than humans would in the same situation - tho we only have two so it is not a fair comparison. <g>
