Dalmatian Information

I am looking for information on Dalmatians and their personality can anyone help?

I have lost my beloved best mate of 17 years mid way through last year. He was a beautiful English Bull Terrier. With an infectious personality.

So why don't I get another Bully you say. Well there are many reasons but mainly is because I need it to be easy when we go walking. All those who have had Bully's will understand. Don't get me wrong I feel Bully's are the best pet and friend anyone can have, it's just that walking in surburban streets requires management skills not for you or your mate but for other people and their ideas of your dog.

I have moved from the bush to the city and that requires a few adjustments.

I am looking for the personality, intelligence and agility of my Neddy (the English Bull terrier) with a face that more than just his mother could love.

I have had Boxers prior to Neddy (the English Bull terrier) and they are so much fun but now I have been spoilt by the English Bull terrier brilliance.

If anyone has any ideas please share them.

Dalmations can be very active dogs! And due to overbreeding since the 101 Dalmations movie came out, there a many with behavioural and health problems, so take great care in picking a breeder (look for someone who works & titles their dogs), if you're considering a puppy. They also shed a lot, little white hairs everywhere.

And I know what you mean about Bullies; I've had Rottweilers for 18 years - I have three now. I just regard it as a chance to show off to the general public what a PROPERLY trained and socialised Rottie can be like! :)

I'm sure there's a Dal breed club online you can get info from. Even better, see if there's one in your area, or go to a dog show.
