CIV 3 grrr...

I got CIV 3 from a friend this week, and he recommended I get the patch. Well...I downloaded the patch and now the game won't work! Grr..I was so close to crushing the English (playing the Iroquois!). Grr...

Uninstall, reboot, make sure it's completely gone, reboot, reinstall without adding the patch.

Can you do a system restore?

I wish it were that easy....you see it's a hacked game so there is no uninstall, and the patch should work. I will speak with my friend as I'm sure there is something I can do to it. It's asking for the disc (which I don't have).

Do a system restore!! It gets rid of everything you downloaded back to a certain day.

Google for "Civ 3" hack patch. I don't want to do it here at work, but you might find a fix for it.
