Anyone taken the GRE?

I'm considering doing grad school in the US and have come to the realization that in order to apply I must complete a GRE examination.

Have anyone of you taken this? What was it like? Did it cover all subject areas?

I'm going to check out the Web site right now--hopefully it will shed some technical light on the test. If anyone has a personal view I'd love to hear it :thumbs up

Yeah it's a graduate entrance exam--www.gre.org. I can take that one or a GMAT.

The GMAT is used here for some programs, but the GRE is yet one more American standardized test. They love their standardized tests!!

It was hard, and covered just about everything, math, memory, problem solving, ink blots, questions about anything and everything, like what is the livers function?

Yeah I just checked out the info on the GRE---everything but the math section seems decent enough. I haven't had to compute fractions and such in a LONG time so that section will definitely be a problem.

It seems unfair that Canadian schools don't ask this of you...expect law, med, business!...or unfair that the US ones do!
