Female black lab is very lethargic.

My wife and I bought a black lab for our children for christmas this last year and recently had her neutered. We got her back 2 weeks ago after the surgery and everything was fine and then 3 days ago she just stopped doing anything. She's not eating or drinking and she won't go more then 10 feet from the back door. We have checked her over and can't find anything wrong (ticks, bites, sores, bleeding). What could be wrong with her?

What's wrong surely is INTERNAL.

3 days of lethargy, and not eating/drinking is potentially fatal!

Don't wait around...bring her to a vet. TODAY!!!

How can anyone on this board speculate on something so serious...with so many different potential causes.

Check under the arms and under the throat for lumps. My black lab died last Sept. from lymphoma. It had the same symptoms, lethargy (extreme), didn't want to eat (weird for a lab). He had lumps in the throat and under the front arms (pits). If it is lymphoma, it is not curable but is temporarily treatable (expensive and not permanent). Hope it is something else.
