Hi, new here today, my girls and I live in Vancouver. Both of my girls are rescue/pound puppies as it were. Shadow is a 7 1/2 year old Akita/Heeler cross and Halo is a 4 1/2 year old Lab cross (but looks like a slightly small lab).
Shadow has separation anxiety issues, and has for the past six years. Working with a behaviorist did not resolve her issues and she now happily attends doggy day care while I am at work. Halo has food allergies, anything remotely related to poultry and most grains.
Both dogs were adopted as 8 week old puppies so the anxiety and food allergies were not the reason they were up for adoption. I just got lucky and picked two girls with issues. That's okay - we love em anyhow :)
Anyhow, look forward to participating in some discussions on the board, and look forward to picking up some tips from time to time.
