major difference in cats attitude

My beloved Chantilly is not the same towards me. It breaks my heart. She used to call out to me and I would do the same. She doesn't do that no more. I can't hold her without her crying and she doesn't like to be petted either. She is 10,healthy and this is not like her at all. It's been going on for a while now and it really saddens me. I try to hold her and she wants nothing to do with me. She will sleep in my bed with me,but I can't touch her without her crying. Can she be acting this way out of old age? She is an indoor cat and she has not injured herself in anyway. :(

I would reccommend that a vet see your cat. Her attitude has changed drastically in a short period of time. IMO this signifies something wrong. I hope it's nothing serious and you work it out quickly....so you can be back to your familiar snuggles :)

Agree 100% with wjranch. Your cat needs a vet ASAP. She may be in pain and this has nothing to do with age. Even if it did, 10 is not old for a cat.
