Fip

I am thinking about buying a Burmese kitten, but his grandfather died
of FIP. The breeder has been in business for 20 years and in that
time has had a total of 4 cats die of FIP. I understand that about
85% of cattery cats have the corona virus and in only about 5%
does it mutate to the FIP virus. So, the odds are good. However,
some studies conclude that there is a strong genetic factor in
which cats develop FIP. Should I get this kitten?

Here is a very comprehensive article on FIP. You might want to look it over carefully, then make your decision.
