Any one here have any experience with birds???

Hi there!
Now, I'm not new to birds, but I do have a question:

My Cockatiel will be 5 months old in 2 days, and I think she's already starting to molt. The thing is, I thought they were only supposed to start at 6-8 months old....?
Her feathers are coming out like crazy and they're everywhere. Is she really molting??? early???

Best is that you check out some sites that deal with birds or specially cockateels there are lots of these sites on the net with a bit of searching you can find all kinds of things you want to know about birds..Are you sure your bird is molting there are no real set rules for when birds molt..so good luck with that nice birdy..

Keep checking back. There are a few bird enthusiasts here that will be able to help you. Unfortunately I'm a doggie gal so I'm pretty much useless. :p
