Yup. go to see the vet, it's probably just impacted anal glands, but they can abcess sometimes and she might need antibiotics. Has she been groomed recently?? Just asking because they empty them someitmes--but not always correctly.....might have irritated her. :(

Let us know how she is.

she might have had an irritation to the soap/shampoo.. or it might just be a coincidence....If she's in pain though, I'd see a vet, you don't want that to rupture...very painful!!

I would take her to your vet asap...it may be anal glands, or she may have prolapsed her rectum from straining.

I'm with Karin on this one. You said that her bum looks pushed out and swollen and that sounds like a prolapsed rectum. Do take her to the vet asap to get her some help, relief and comfort and to avoid further complications and costs! Good luck!

Good I am glad to hear it In some dogs they act up more than others. You will get to know the signs they drag there bums on the ground.

I am very glad that it turned out to only be the glands and not a prolapse! Lesser of the 2 evils, I would imagine. Glad to hear she is on the mend. ;)
