Hey guys..sorry I haven't been keeping up all that much with the Ontario BSL stuff since the last protest really..
What is the procedure now? I realize that its gone to committee..so what is happening and most importantly..what happens next..
Is it looking like a win or loose situation for us?
What is going on?! lol

I would say things are going "our way" thanks to Bryant, yes,I said thanks to Bryant. He did such a horrible job drafting the bill, ignoring genuine experts, fugeing numbers, false stats, lies, and so on, that now that the standing commity is hearing the real story, and I do belive they now know a ban is the wrong path to take. Peter Kormos, is the other person to thank, for takeing into account all the views from people presenting at the commity and seeing there are most likey better ways to deal with dogs, other than bans.
Now the bad news is, will the standing commity be allowed to make changes to the bill(i.e remove the BSL) or will Bryant step in and say no way!
Bryant is in a bad spot right now, his total incompatance in handleing this bill, is starting to show, and he is backed into a corner. A little political pull in the right direction could save him and his bill, lets just hope that does not happen.
P.S Just becuse I thank him for being incompatant, does'nt mean that I like him.

Check the anti ban section at, www.staffordcanada.com . There has been a lot going on . They brought the president of the American Veterinary Medical Association up from Texas to speak at the Barrie meeting . I have not heard how it went exactly but it sounded as if there were many good points presented .
But remember these are liberal dictators we are trying to pursuade that they have a poorly thought out and researched bill.

The other issue is the way this is being reported. If you read the hansard, it sounds impossible to agree with a ban, but the media, in general, are failing to report that (from what I have seen). In my opinion, this means that it is still possible, maybe even likely, it will go through in the hopes of a boost to public opinion.

Unfortunately the fibs have a majority on comittee as well as the leg so unless their afraid of ruby I think its a done deal and we will need to lobby the citys and keep tring to educate the public as well as supporting the legal fight and each other! They will be expecting us to run away with "our tails between our legs" if its passed. We can never do that. and Im sure none of you will . :thumbs up
